April 7, 2003 - ground fire badly damaged an A-10, Serial Number 81987, of the 23rd Fighter Group.
An A-10 Killed one British soldier and wounded four others.
March 23, 2003 - an A-10 struck a US Marine AFV and killed as many as ten Marines. Eight others died from enemy fire. The A-10 attack also wounded one Marine. Enemy fire wounded 16 other Marines.

November 25, 2002 - An A-10 dropped a 500 pound bomb on a suspected rocket launch site.
November 14, 2002 - A-10s supported ground troops during a fire fight near Lwara, Afghanistan.
September 20, 2002 - A-10s dropped 4 x 250 pound bombs and strafed enemy troops in Lwara, Afghanistan. The enemy had fired rocket on US troops.
July 27, 2002 - A-10s supported an operation that resulted in five people being detained.
July 18, 2002 - an Thunderbolt II dropped a 500 pound bomb as a show of force.
March 6, 2002 - A-10s provided cover for a capture and extraction of a senior al-Qaeda officer.
September 4, 2006 - An A-10 killed one Canadian soldier and wounded about 30 others.
December 7, 2003 - An A-10 killed nine children and one adult civilian.

OTHER OPERATIONS

July 20, 2012 - A-10s sank the USNS Niagara Falls during a Rim of the Pacific exercise.
November 15, 2005 - Major Pete Olson escorted a civilian Piper 31 Chieftain in distress to the airfield at Frankfurt-Hahn.
May 22, 2013 - An A-10C struck 2 cables, causing extensive damage to the aircraft.
December 6, 2005 - The main landing gear of an A-10 collapsed during the takeoff roll and the jet rolled off the runway. The pilot escaped safely.
September 26, 2011- A double engine failure cause the crash of an A-10C. The pilot ejected safely.
April 1, 2011 - Pilot error caused the crash of an A-10 crash north of the city of Wittlich, Germany. The pilot survived, but was badly injured.
May10, 2010 - An A-10C crashed on takeoff at Moody Air Force Base, GA. The pilot ejected with only slight injuries. The crash was attributed to human error..
June 10, 2004 - An accidental firing of an A-10 cannon wounded SSgt Brent Russell at Barksdale AFB, LA.
February 24, 2004 - An A-10 crash killed Capt. Jonathan P. Scheer, the pilot. The investigation sited pilot disorientation and possible equipment failure as the cause of the crash.
November 18, 2003 - An A-10 crashed at Nellis AFB. Captain John M. Dyer ejected safely.
